About Diego

Born in Brazil in 1988, I grew up in a poor neighborhood where life was anything but easy. My childhood was marked by challenges —racism, violence, and abuse— but I found refuge in books, sports, and the arts. At thirteen, my life took a turning point when I encountered God in a profound way. That moment changed everything, setting me on a path of faith, purpose, and hope. Since that day I know and believe that hope is a person, and his name is Jesus.

Throughout my teenage years, I dedicated myself to my faith, leading Bible studies in school, organizing outreach efforts, and leading worship every service I could. By seventeen, I knew God was calling me to ministry. I pursued a theology degree, earning my bachelor’s at twenty, and later expanded my skills with a degree in communication specializing in radio and television presenting.

My twenties were filled with creative and ministerial work. I recorded two Christian music albums, produced a national documentary on worship, and hosted a television program for three years called Hashtag. At thirty, I stepped into pastoral ministry, planting two churches, revitalizing a historic youth movement (Chosen), and founding Revival Day, a youth conference that gathered thousands across Brazil for prayer, worship, and intercession.

Now living in New Zealand, I continue my journey as a pastor and writer, sharing stories of faith, resilience, and redemption. My passion is to help others find healing and purpose through God’s transformative love. I believe there’s nothing more transformative than listening to someone’s story—preferably with a cup of Brazilian coffee in hand.

Beyond ministry, I find joy in simple pleasures — strong coffee, long walks by the beach, swimming, and all forms of art. Life has been a journey of brokenness and restoration, and I believe that every story, no matter how painful, can be redeemed.
